We had a heat advisory this weekend. When they temperatures reach over 115 degrees I just want to run away… to some place cooler! Thank-fully Estila and her mother were willing to take a road trip for her Quinceanera/15 year photography session. So off we went Past Payson/Pine in search of cooler weather. I just love the locations I found and hope to find some more willing victims that are willing to let me shoot them up there too. :) Volunteers anyone? Enjoy the flowers, the field of grass and the forest full of ferns! Don’t you love all that green?
Enjoy your sneak peek Estila!

Despite the hotter than “hot” weather recently, I really enjoy my outdoor sessions at Schnepf’s Farm. Yes, you can get fantastic outdoor images done even in the 110 degree summer heat! Every visit to Schnepf’s farm a unique and fun experience; I have picked vegetables, picked peaches, picked flowers and most recently picked apples! For our apple picking adventure, we arrived bright and early at 7:30 to avoid to heat as much as possible. After picking up a basket at the restaurant, we headed out to the apple orchard. We were greeted by rows of sweet golden Ana apples. The apples were so ripe that a gentle shake of the tree would cause the best ones to come tumbling down into our arms. Mira and Tate especially enjoyed trying to catch the apples before they hit the ground! We even taste tested the organic apples as we walked around, of course they were wonderful! There is nothing like taking a bite out of any apple fresh off the tree!
Below are just some of the apple picking images, we had a such great photography session! More portrait images from our visit are coming soon, so watch the blog J If you are thinking about stopping by the Farm to pick apples, I believe they are almost gone so call ahead! At only .50 cents per pound it’s an affordable and fun morning out with your family. (and of course you can bake an apple pie when you get home, trust me it will be fabulous!)
Enjoy!
